We have our first meeting in nearly two years tomorrow (Tuesday 4th January), 8pm at Plumstead Common Working Men’s Club on Kirkham Street. We are meeting in the upstairs hall. Please take a lateral flow test beforehand and you will be required to wear a face mask whilst in the hall. We look forward to seeing you all.

MEETINGS ANNOUNCEMENT

      Comments Off on MEETINGS ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Members

The last 22 months have been difficult as Covid restrictions initially prevented meetings and we have struggled to find a hall, as many have stopped taking bookings. I am pleased to announce that we have been offered the chance to return to the Plumstead Common Working Men’s Club (PCWMC) and use the upstairs hall on the first Tuesday of each month; unfortunately, this does mean that members must be able to climb the stairs as there is no lift.

We will recommence meetings from Tuesday 4th January 2022 in the upstairs hall at 8pm and then the first Tuesday each month thereafter. Meetings will obviously have to comply with any Covid restrictions (such as wearing masks and social distancing) and we strongly recommend that members are fully vaccinated and take lateral flow tests before attending.

We will hold the AGM on Tuesday 5th April 2022 at PCWMC at 8pm. Proposals for any changes to the constitution, rules or committee must be submitted to the Secretary in writing no later than Tuesday 25th January 2022. Any proposals made prior to this notice will not be considered unless they are resubmitted giving reference to the relevant section of the constitution.

The situation with the Covid pandemic remains fluid and we may be subject to further restrictions at short notice. Any changes to the above arrangements will be notified by posting on the website and Facebook and we strongly advise members to check these for the latest information before attending.

Finally, may I wish you all a very merry Christmas, a happy and prosperous New Year, and tight lines for 2022.

Alan Smith
