Christmas Match 8th January 2023
The Christmas match will now be held Sunday, 8th January 2023, weather permitting.
Christmas Match Cancelled
Due to the lake being frozen over, the Christmas Match 18/12/2022 is cancelled and will now take place at a date to be confirmed in early 2023.
TOILET OUT OF ORDER
Unfortunately the toilet and hand wash basin are currently out of action.
The facilities will remain open but members are asked to flush the toilet by filling the bucket supplied with water from the lake. After use, please ensure the bucket is left for the next person. Hand sanitiser is also available for your use.
Hopefully it will be back up and running very soon.

WORK PARTY SUNDAY 27th NOVEMBER 2022, 9am – 1pm
HOOKLENGTHS
The rule that a hooklength of 1lb less than the main line for all methods of fishing, be it float, feeder or pole, was introduced with the 2022 reprinting of the rule book, which all members received as part of this year’s membership pack. However, bailiffs continue to observe members disregarding this rule.
Until now, bailiffs have been educating members rather than taking a ‘heavy-handed’ approach, but this practice can no longer be accepted and, as such, will be dealt with in the same manner as any other breach of TDAS rules.
TDAS rules apply to members and guests for which members are responsible. If you have lost your copy of the rule book a .pdf version is available for download from the website.
CORMORANTS
The first cormorant has been spotted on the lake today!
We would like to remind members that any cormorants seen landing at the Dell must be reported using the form on the website including photos if possible. There is no need to report birds flying overhead. This information is necessary for our records which we are obliged to keep for the purposes of retaining our licence and to enable us to monitor patterns of behaviour and to target our activities accordingly.
Members are also reminded that they are responsible for deterring these birds from landing by using methods such as catapulting, banging, movement, flashing lights.
WORK PARTY SATURDAY 1st OCTOBER 2022, 9am – 1pm
Work to be undertaken to include ground works, pre-winter trimming and remediation of pegs.
Please check in with Tony Jones (Fishery Manager) on arrival.
The lake will be closed for the duration of the work party.
Lake Maintenance Tuesday 26th July
We will be out on the boat for a tidy up around Peg 5 and to trim back some of the lily pads this coming Tuesday.
All pegs will remain open but please be aware that you may be asked to reel in for a short period if you are fishing in areas where we need to work. Thank you
ESSENTIAL REPAIRS PEG 23
Peg 23 will be closed for a couple of days for maintenance.
