Please take care when handling fish. We have recently lost a good size barbel and would like to remind members that when caught they should be rested in the net to recover before releasing. From 1st June 2020 members will be permitted to night fish the Dell with the proviso that no bivvies to be erected so as to conform to current government guidelines relating to overnight stays. Brollies with sides will be allowed and all other rules currently in place must be adhered to.
We are now in a position to open the toilet back up but members are required to clean all surfaces with the Spray Sanitiser and Blue Paper after they have used it. Although we are reopening the lake, it is up to each individual member to decide whether they are able to fish given their own personal risk factors. Following the announcement by Boris Johnson tonight we are trying to understand whether fishing will be permitted from Wednesday; opinions vary at present. We will review the advice available over the next couple of days (including what additional controls we have to put in place) and will post an update by Tuesday evening.
Due to the unprecedented COV-19 situation, membership renewals will not take place until we have clear direction from the UK government. The committee will notify existing members of a date that renewals will take place once restrictions are lifted.
