Work will commence on the long platform (pegs 17, 18, 19) this Saturday 14th. Please be aware that apart from the noise, access to the high bank (pegs 16 to 26) will be restricted/obstructed. If you are planning to fish you may want to consider using other areas of the lake.
The lake will be closed for fishing for the duration of the work party on the dates below. Saturday 30th April 2022 Sunday 8th May 2022
Pegs 17, 18 and 19 (long platform) will be closed with immediate effect for essential repairs. Work will commence tomorrow and we are unable to give a timeframe for reopening/completion at this time.
Following the vote at the AGM we are banning the use of floating baits fished on the surface of the Dell. The rule book is in the process of being updated and notices will be posted in shortly.
Members attending the AGM are reminded that they are required to bring their membership card.
The lake is now open. The tree has been made safe and the remainder will be moved by the land agent’s contractors in due course. Due to extensive damage caused by the storm, the Committee has taken the decision to temporarily close the lake to members until the area can be made safe.
We have our first meeting in nearly two years tomorrow (Tuesday 4th January), 8pm at Plumstead Common Working Men’s Club on Kirkham Street. We are meeting in the upstairs hall. Please take a lateral flow test beforehand and you will be required to wear a face mask whilst in the hall. We look forward to seeing you all.
